Process

At Clinvue we passionately believe that to be successful, innovation must address underserved needs. Furthermore, innovation must meet the underserved needs of an appropriate set of vested stakeholders beyond the traditional ‘customer’. This is why you hear us talk about “Voice of the Stakeholder” in preference to “Voice of the Customer” since stakeholders are not necessarily customers (your own sales organization for instance). We also see cases where a key stakeholder has been overlooked to the detriment of sales and clinical adoption; in one case a large population of clinic based patient ‘educators’ simply disliked a product and chose not to demonstrate it to patients in favor of a competing product. Clinvue works to understand the value chain and hence stakeholders ‘in the round’ in order to optimize product (or service) performance and market success.

It is from this ethos that our i3 “Insight Informed Innovation” medical device innovation process architecture is born.

Map

i3 links healthcare insights to needs, solutions, and product embodiments in a traceable manner that builds understanding, enables innovation, and supports decision making to build robust business cases and corporate alignment. i3 can operate as an end to end process or in a more modular fashion, embedded within an existing client process or ongoing project, since it clearly defines stage inputs and outputs for each step in the process.

Every consulting company has a process but at Clinvue we recognized long ago that the ‘magic’ of innovation doesn’t come from a process but from the people involved in executing it; just as music comes from the musician, not the instrument. Frequently these people exist with your organization; Clinvue brings the enabling structure, framework and inspiration that they need to make great music.
